We will be doing a strongman show at Zambesi Junction on Saturday 7 November 2009 from 10h30 - there will also be live music with BB, Best Karate demo, L`Amore Dance studio show ( all from Oxygen ) . Please contact Helgard 082 561 9039 for more info.

SA BENCH PRESS CHAMPIONSHIPS

Due to our ability and record of hosting top events, we were very fortunate that the Executive Committee of the SA Powerlifting Federation ( www.powerliftingsa.co.za ) authorized that the the 2009 SA Bench Press Championships take place at Oxygen.
The 2009 ( for selection of teams for 2010 ) SA Bench Press Championship will take place on Saturday 28 November 2009. This championships will be to the select the SA Sub junior, Junior, Senior and Master teams to represent SA at the various world championships in 2010. Closing date for entries was 29 September 2009.
The competition will take place at the Cadillac Theatre and Club at Zambesi Retail Park.

IRON HORSE CHALLENGE

The IRON HORSE cardio challenge will also take place at OXYGEN on Saturday 28 November 2009 from 7h00.
This competition consist of Treadmil ( 20 min ) Orbital ( 10 min ) Rowing ( 10 min ) and Cycling ( 20 min ) - the more calories you burn in that hour , the more you earn.
More than R 10 000,00 prize money up for grabs - entry fee only R200 per person ( entry fee includes t shirt and water bottle )
Doctor on premises, different age and gender groups.

This was never done and reported in the world.
During the 2008 Gauteng North Powerlifting Championships, the Manager of OXYGEN, Helgard Coertze exactly did this. He was 46 years old at the time and weighed 125 kg - he used no supportive gear except a belt and knee wraps.
This feat of strength was extensively covered and reported on www.razorripped.com.
It was also discussed on a few wordpress blogs. A video was posted on youtube.
